Brick Federal-era home built from 1785-1796 on 77 secluded acres, including creek, forest and farmland. Legend is that the owner, Robert Jenckins Henry King was a friend of Jerome Bonaparte, Napoleon’s beother, and the hiuse figured ina plot to resuce Napoleon after his exile. He died before he could use the secret room allegedly hidden by an upstairs fireplace, and the interior was rebuilt after a fire so it was never documented.
