Charming Century House In The Beaches Circa 1890

Located in the family-friendly neighbourhood of the Beaches, Toronto, this house is situated 2 minutes by foot from the bustling street of Queen Street East. Nearby is the Boardwalk, where on can take long walks and bike rides along the lake, shops, boutiques and restaurants that line the main street, parks, libraries and public transportation that takes you to downtown Toronto in 20 minutes. The house has wireless internet, street parking, cable tv, washer and dryer, one and a half bathrooms. It has a large back-yard and front porch perfect for walking neighbour watch by or reading a book. Bicycles are available for use. The house has the typical charm of this neighbourhood, the well known and well sought-after Beaches. It was built in 1890 and loved for by a few families. We recently purchased it and have renovated it (new kitchen, new washroom, renovated bathroom, new painting throughout, sanding of original wood floors, addition of laundry room). We tried to maintain the original charm as much as possible, and have decorated accordingly. The house has a very large garden with very old Maple and Oak trees that provide shade in the summer. They are at least 200 year old trees. The backyard has a gas BBQ and an outdoor living area (sectional couch) and dining table that seats 6 comfortably. The front porch is covered, so even during the winter, the outdoor seating area (seats 5 comfortably) is a wonderful place to have a glass of wine or any drink of your choice (we would recommend hot chocolate in the winter)! The neighbours are all very friendly. Don't be surprised to be greeted by them or even offered something to eat! Neighbours are friendly and also look out for each other. The neighbourhood is in the central beach. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and boutiques. There is a beautiful Public Library at the foot of the street. There are 2 great grocery stores around the corner, open until 8pm and 9:30pm, respectively daily. Two minutes by foot is access to the Queen Streetcar (the streetcar stop) where you can be transported downtown in 20-30 minutes, while being able to look outside and see the City scape change from neighbourhood to neighbourhood. 10 minutes by public transportation west is Leslieville, a bustling neighbourhood full of trendy restaurants and shots.
