This historic house started off as a hotel back in 1865. Back then when farmers and travellers from up north needed a place to rest they would stop at the house where they would enjoy a warm meal, a cold beverage in the tavern (now my office) and a warm cozy bed in one of the 11 rooms. Since then the house served as a hair salon, ice cream shop, gas station, boarding house and now my family home.

Ashburn is a cozy Hamlet located just north of Whitby. Its close proximity to the 407 and the 401 makes this place ideal for a traveler or someone who is just looking to get away for a few days.
Getting around
Plenty of parking, right on the bike trail, minutes from three ski resorts (Dagmar, Lakeridge, Skyloft) Ideal place to relax, getaway, hike, bike, ski, snow shoe, mountain or trail bike, minutes from historic town of Brooklyn.
