My home is designed with comfort and peace in mind. From entering the front door into the living room, you forget you're in NYC and automatically feel drawn to the oversized leather sofa and stacks of books just begging to be opened. The scent of coffee floats up from the downstairs kitchen, where a french press has been freshly made...an afternoon pick-me-up while the biscotti finish baking in the oven. The kitchen is the most used room in the home, with seating around the island and something always being prepared. Here friends and visitors sip their drinks while playing a board game, while I am practically hosting my own cooking show in the background. This kitchen was set up by someone who once owned a baking business, but also embraces the nostalgia of Caribbean-blues and Vintage Yellows that can be seen in the Kitchen Aid mixer and Le Creuset french oven...effortlessly blending function and simplistic beauty.
