Sunset Heights, Poshawa

I guess I want to show off the backsplash tile. Made all 35 square feet with my ingenious 2 hands. We bought this house built in 1957 from original owner, Stanley Jackson. No relation to Michael. Or Janet. My husband was trained as a stone mason and he knew of Mr. Jackson . Said he had a good reputation for doing his job well. And had built this house himself. Including the 100 sq ft wall made of Owen sound stone which houses the electric modern fireplace. That fireplace sold us on the house which unfortunately needed a lot of upgrades. Poor Stanley was not well last few years living in his house and couldn't keep up. But it has a solid foundation so it goes... We aren't done -2 years gone by. Had another baby in meantime - happened while we were renovating. Was a BOGO paint sale at Lowes and a good bottle of wine. We are happy with our ongoing project to make this house more "us" . I was sort of hoping a little extra cash from this might grease those wheels. We'll see Oshawa isn't really known as a destination town unless your destination is a Tom Hortons. Some movies have been filmed here - recently IT the Stephen King movie made quite the stir. This may go nowhere but thanks for reading all the way to the end.
