Maintaining the feel of a rainforest getaway, the villa's lush locale and private pool provide an unsurpassed level of privacy and ambience and is an ideal location for any production shoot. Unlike many properties on the island, this villa is the only house on a very large and lush lot and the pool, one of the largest pools on Caye Caulker, is also all private - no other guests or owners have access. The second level deck of the villa overlooks the pool and tropical garden, catching the nearby ocean breeze while providing the perfect lookout point for all the natural habitat and flora and fauna that Caye Caulker has to offer. Animal life includes a wide variety of birds including hummingbirds and many varieties of small iguanas. Evenings are illuminated by fireflies. The villa features natural Belizean hardwood throughout for an authentic Belizean vibe and the custom designed, freshwater pool and landscaping reflect the best of the Belizean rain forest grotto style. The home is located in the residential neighbourhood south of the village and it is approx. 10 minutes by bike to the village and a short walk to the nearby beach. There is a restaurant next door called Suggestion Gourmet offering fresh coffee and croissants through the day and delicious intercontinental dishes in the evenings. Stroll around the corner and you'll find live music and drinks at Il Baretto at sunset. Turn to your right from there and you'll find a quiet path to the beach and the nature reserve. Our very popular property manager is minutes away and available 24 hours a day for any assistance. Our island home is just comfortable enough and yet still maintains a unique almost rustic island vibe. A well equipped kitchen with gas stove/oven allows for quality meal preparation and the refrigerator is a full sized unit. A microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster and Belizean handcrafted breakfast bar and dining table round out the experience. The villa is fully supplied by village water however a complimentary 5 gallon jug of drinking water will be available and our manager can resupply on demand at a cost of $5BZ per jug. Ceiling fans on both levels of the house, assisted by portable oscillating floor fans and vaulted ceilings keep the cottage refreshed with moving air. All windows and doors are fully screened with imported no-see'um/sand fly mesh. There is substantial lighting throughout the garden and the pool deck is also quietly lit for evening enjoyment. The compact three piece bathroom features a hot water shower, basin and toilet. The house is on filtered town water with hot water on demand. Please Note: Interior stairs from 1st to 2nd floor are steep (may not be suitable for seniors or very young children). Apart from a restaurant there are several more rental units next door for crew!
