Waterfront Riverside Retreat

A private, secluded retreat set on the historic Farmington River, 75 feet from the water with 500 feet of river frontage. The property is available for television and film sets. Multiple productions have been filmed here, including film and PBS productions. Special rates apply, please contact me to learn more or to scout the property in advance of your production. The totally private retreat has 500 feet of river frontage and provides great water views and scenes from every room. The wooded lot sweeps down to a bucolic field on the river with access to a swimming hole, gazebo, fire pit and electricity. The home sits directly on the banks of the Farmington River, a famous fishing and recreation stream in the Northeast. The kitchen/dining area is designed for gourmet cooking and dinner parties ... complete with Viking appliances: Gas stove top, large oven, microwave and warming drawer. The great room overlooks the river and has a stone fireplace (wood burning). Downstairs there's a rec room, another fireplace (gas), an office and an exercise room. Three spacious bedrooms, an additional queen pull out sofa, along with a cozy nook provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 8 people. This listing includes a master bedroom suite and bath, has 2 full baths and 2 half baths. A 10 mile path loops along the river to provide outdoor opportunities to film scenes of hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, paddle boarding and cross country skiing/snow shoeing. Owner provides guided tours (if scheduling permits). Onsite catering and licensed therapeutic massage, available upon request. Please inquire at the time of reservations to allow for scheduling.
