3 creatively designed buildings on 1 site. Lots of intricate decor built in both inside and out. The first building has an open-concept loft on the top floor with hardwood floors and dormer windows. Lots of light. Exposed light coloured wood beams. Arched front wood door with plaques and ornate historical light features. Walk down a long wooded/ferned path to a relaxing courtyard in front of the main house and bunky. A water feature of a brass pot spouts over a raised half round flower bed with dangling nasturtiums. All buildings have metal black roofs and black wood siding and some stone and stucko. The front doors to the main house are from a diner in Toronto...glass and stainless steel. The entrance hall is separated from the kitchen with wood french doors inserted with stained glass. The front part of the kitchen has a domed cathedral ceiling. Hanging from the centre is a huge wrought iron lantern from a railway station in Pennsylvania, complete with bullet holes. The wood burning oven stands about 10' tall and a plaque of a maiden and prince is on the wall above the main opening. Cupboard doors are all reclaimed materials in dark wood with hints of gold paint over intricate designs. There are 2 islands; the small one has a wood top and the central one is cement with interesting stone inlays and small led lights at 1 end. There is a library-style A-frame ladder leading to a little loft room above the entrance hall overlooking the kitchen, perfect for reading and as a library. The kitchen is open concept with the living room that sits in front of the floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall picture windows with a view of the back-yard, beach and Georgian Bay. The dining room has a solid dark wood dining table and Intricately carved dining chairs from India. There is an office nearby with a bay window. The individual windows go up to points and have carved wood frames. The room has a cathedral ceiling. The en-suite bathroom has a ceramic hand-painted sink and turquoise acrylic counter-top. Stairs to the master bedroom are covered with old turquoise persian carpeting. The master bedroom has the bathroom within the bedroom. The toilet is in its own WC. with small french doors. There is a small claw-foot tub and a glass-enclosed shower. Again there is a cathedral ceiling with very intricately carved beams. French glass doors lead to a small balcony with a view of the lake and garden. The back yard starts with courtyard feel closer to the house and an outdoor kitchen faced with stone and an inlay of a greek god and his dog. Moss, flowering thyme and other small plants poke through the patio stones. The willow tree opposite the pagoda delineate the back courtyard from the lawn that leads to the beach and lake.
