Because of the beauty of the Loire Valley and the temperate climate, the French aristocracy preferred to settle on the Loire River from the beginning of the Renaissance in the 16th century and built splendid castles.
Today, the Loire Valley is one of the most important centres of tourism in France: over 300 castles, countless magnificent mansions and romantic towns surrounded by vineyards attract millions of tourists to this region every year. The beauty of the landscape and the easy life in the Loire Valley symbolise the "savoir vivre" of the French and illustrates what it means to "live like God in France". UNESCO declared the Loire Valley a World Heritage Site in 2000 because of its natural landscape and numerous castles.
My famous historic castle (main building about 3,000 m², outbuildings about 1,000 m²) - not listed as a historic monument - was built in the 16th Century. It was rebuilt in the 18th century by the architect of the king, who also participated in the construction of Chambord Castle and the Royal Castle in Blois. It is located 45 min by train from Paris and in the immediate vicinity of famous sights, such as the Loire Castles, cities like Blois, Tours (reachable with Ryan Air), Orleans and Vendôme. A nearby private airport provides quick access, even for guests of Louis Vuitton; in Vendôme, a showroom of the brand will be housed in a Renaissance palace.
The classic elegance of this castle, set in 26 hectares of centuries-old trees, with 30 guest rooms, 4 salons with open fireplaces, an attached chapel, various side buildings (such as an orangery, 4 stables) will once again be admired by an interested public.
Ideas: picnic in the park, possibility of a variety of activities (hunting (pheasant and ducks), sports (cycling, fishing, horseback riding), festival (history festival, music), readings, corporate events, weddings etc.)
Our castle is ideal for modern life and traditional filmings.
