At the intersection of James North and Cannon Streets, The Inc. is centered at the heart of the James Street Art District, a destination for Hamilton arts and culture. With over forty years of operation, the Inc. is an anchor for cultural activities in Hamilton, hosting thousands of visitors during monthly exhibitions and special events. The Inc. owns and operates out of a purpose-built facility, serving as a contemporary art gallery in a modern architectural setting. Guests can explore and engage with artwork by local, Canadian and international artists.
The Inc. is an ideal location to host weddings, receptions, corporate events, meetings, film screenings, exhibitions, concerts, parties and more. It is also available as a location for film shoots. The staff and volunteers at the Hamilton Artists Inc. are dedicated to assisting facility clients to host successful events. Proceeds from venue rentals support exhibitions, programming and educational activities at the Hamilton Artists Inc.
Facility Description
The facility is fully wheelchair accessible and features two interior gallery spaces: the Cannon Gallery (1100 square feet) and the James Street Gallery (495 square feet). There are two wheelchair accessible bathrooms and a kitchenette. There is also an outdoor courtyard (1500 square feet) which is a fully accessible, programmable space for receptions, exhibitions, performances, film screenings and community projects.

Productions may cancel their booking up to 5 days before their production start time and will receive an 80% refund (excluding Set Scouter Fees) of their rental price. Productions may cancel their Booking between 5 days and 24 hours before the production start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Set Scouter Fees) of their rental price.
