This eclectic Riverdale home was built back in 1885 and has an open-concept layout with a HIGH CEILING (9'4"), a mix of hardwood and tile flooring, and recessed lighting throughout the space.
ROOM SIZES (approx.):
- main floor (living/dining rooms open w/ kitchen, & powder room): 542 sq ft
- master bedroom (currently a fitness room): 159 sq ft
- middle bedroom: 92 sq ft
- office: 84 sq ft
- main washroom: 39 sq ft
- front porch: 90 sq ft
- upper deck/balcony: 64 sq ft
- lower deck: 81 sq ft
- detached 1-car garage with workshop: 213 sq ft (5.87m x 3.38m). Garage looks like a small house.
The front exterior is mostly brick and stone but are partially hidden by the lush front yard. The front has an uncovered porch.
The back exterior is wood siding and looks like a cottage. There are two wooden decks in the back - one off the kitchen on the main floor and the other deck/balcony is directly above it.
The living room features a cozy nook with a wood stove and a bookshelf by the front window and a velvet couch. There is a removable hammock chair/swing chair that is suspended from the ceiling.
The dining room features a table made of barnboard and a rustic hutch.
The open-concept living and dining areas have a blue accent strip that gives the space more character. Lots of quirky knick-knacks and musical instruments are also peppered around the room.
The galley kitchen features a charcoal gray stone countertop and slate floor tiles with a walkout to the back deck and garden. It has lots of storage, a breakfast bar, and stainless steel appliances.
The primary bedroom is simple and cozy with a bachelor pad feel. The other bedrooms are turned into a home office and a fitness room/gym. The fitness room can also be dressed as another bedroom or into any other room as long as the production brings in their own props and furniture.
The backyard is mostly patio stones but has plants and flowers along the sides. It is partly shaded by the large neighbouring trees. At the end of the yard is the garage which was designed to look aesthetically pleasing from the outside and has a very industrial shop look inside.
The roof is flat which makes for an interesting space and also provides views of the front yard and backyard.
The home feels cozy and lived in, with so much personality, and will definitely be a great setting for a wide range of genres and commercial productions.
I am the sole owner of the property.
