Private Lakefront Cottage In Secluded Forest

Outside The Cottage We just wrapped up construction on the cottage in December. Our home sits on 4.5 acres of land with access to Simmons Lake. You are welcome to walk to the lake and explore the property, however because we have not finished landscaping due to the winter months, we ask you to be careful when exploring. We have some wood that has been tarped for the winter on the side of the house furthest from the driveway, please be careful. There may be a few patches of ice, and we know you have children so please be careful. We have a Ring Motion detector on the side of the house, which also has a camera. This is the only camera on our property. The mutual driveway (Chipmunk Trail) is always plowed, as well as the driveway leading into our property. The plow is only able to reach a certain point, and not up to the door, however we do try to shovel our own path to make it easier to walk to the main front door entrance. If you plan to use the fire pit, please ensure the flame is completely extinguished when done. Checking In Check in process is very easy. We will share a unique access code, which you type into the pin pad at the main door. Your unique lock code is 021420 (your check in date). Inside the Cottage We have 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 2 common areas. Bedrooms There are four bedrooms with Queen Mattresses and dressers. The bedroom in the basement has two bunk beds. In order to avoid injury, we ask that adults do not sleep on the top bunk, as there is a 150lb weight restriction. Bathrooms Each bathroom has extra toilet paper in the vanity. The bathroom in the main floor and second floor will have bath towels. There are also extra bath towels in main floor bathroom closet. This is also, where we store our first aid kit. We ask that you do not flush any feminine hygiene products or contraceptives down the toilet as we have a septic tank. This will cause clogging and damages. Laundry Room You are welcome to use the washer and dryer. You will find detergent beneath the sink in the laundry room. Inside the ottoman, we also keep candles, a lighter and flash lights in case the power goes out. Common Areas Feel free to use the fireplace when congregating on the main floor living area. If that space is vacant, we ask you to turn off the fire. The basement entertainment space is equipped with a smart TV, surround sound with Blu-ray player and a collection of DVDs. If you have a Netflix account, feel free to log in and use it. When not in use, please turn off all electronics before leaving. Kitchen We have a well-equipped kitchen at your disposal – make yourself at home. If there are items that accidentally break (dishes, cups, glasses) please let us know. All of our electronics are brand new, however if you notice something is not functioning correctly, please let us know ASAP. We also have a fire extinguisher beneath the sink in case of any emergencies. The Deck It is snowing and wet. Please be careful when you are out on the deck!
