Established in 1948 the legendary venue is located in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Chinatown, is one of Canada’s most iconic music venues. Production Features: This entertainment venue is a broadcast facility with three isolated performance areas, state of the art audio and video equipment and the ability to capture, record and stream high-resolution content to a global audience. The venue has a central control room with a video control room, an audio control room and a vocal isolation booth, which allows us to pull audio and video from three separate performance spaces in the venue while simultaneously editing, mixing and delivering content via streaming platforms, or recording and capturing for future use. Our turn-key facility eliminates the need for additional production, speeding up our load-in and tear-down times and ultimately lowering our cumulative carbon footprint. Acoustics: The venue boasts the largest studio floors on the Eastern seaboard, with complete sound isolation from floors one and two, allowing for multiple events at the same time. The building has been acoustically tuned to work in hand-hand with the sound design, making for a great sounding venue for live audiences and live recordings. Audio: Cutting edge technology has been selected with all of our audio equipment, that will continue to stand the test of time in years to come. All inputs on the stage of FL1 and the stage of FL2 can be recorded simultaneously at the highest audio resolution available. Lighting: All the light fixtures are LED and super high efficiency using the smallest amount of energy. The fixtures in the ceilings and those hanging on the rigging equipment are all broadcast quality. This allows us to shoot any broadcast features in as high as 4K video. Rigging: The rigging system that has been designed and installed is much like what you would see at any live concert of Broadway show. This gives the venue the ability to cater to an extensive array of production styles. Video: Video is designed around 4K broadcasting which is fast becoming a standard in the broadcast world. We have the ability to capture 4K images then send via fiber-optic cable to the video control room. Then the 4K images are put together to make the final line mix. Our methods and equipment mirror those of the large format broadcast facility such as CBC, CTV or Global. Streaming: We have the ability to stream multiple 4K images or a 4K line mix with multiple high-resolution audio tracks. This venue will be able to stream large bandwidth streams down to the smallest bandwidth available. The ability to stream to multiple hosts at one time such as: Nugs.net, StageIt, YouTube, Facebook, CYA LIVE and so on.
