Only 40-minutes from Toronto's Pearson airport and a short drive from downtown Toronto, the 100 acres of privacy here at our Farm, overlooks the beautiful hills of Caledon, Ontario. In the summer, the sun sets behind fields of gold or green, and our property is surrounded by lush maple forests. Our wooden, traditional bank-barn with it's pine boards and hand-hewn beams was built in the 1800's. Its hayloft has been cleaned out for a variety of uses: dance floor, performance venue, weddings, or the hay could easily be loaded back in for the right shot.
Numerous secondary locations are just down the road. A raging waterfall, a spring fed river, an abandoned stone house, and even an historic inn, can all easily be accessed.
We'll personally introduce you to our large, black Swiss Warmbloods (Monster & Viola) and their two little painted, miniature-horse friends (Sugar & Kiwi). Our miniature donkey (Grace) might even grace us with her presence. And our 20 laying chickens would be happy to provide the perfect cameos.
Slide open up the 20' high double wide, barn doors and gaze out across the rolling fields with the backdrop of a lush maple forest and a stunning sunset. Then walk down the grassy bank from our classic wooden barn and have a lean on the 100-year old cedar rail fence.
And if the shoot goes into the night, just wait... you'll hear the coyotes howling just off in the distance.
Imagine these shots: sitting around the large, fire-pit area surrounded by 50' Scandinavian Fir trees; a romantic stroll down the grassy trail in between the fields with trees on either side, or surviving the rustic life inside our 10' x 10' low roof, wooden shack with the wood stove burning, looking out the aged windows.
Even our small, one bedroom house, clad in barn-board, heated by a wood stove, could easily fit into your production.
With some television and film credits in our background, we're here to help your production run smoothly with clear and accurate communication. (And there's plenty of room for your entire crew to park.)
Looking forward to long days working with you.
