The Shed is located on 32acres of stunning, untouched rainforest. The property is defined by a
colossal Jenga-style collapse of giant boulders with ancient fig-roots hugging the monolithic
rocks, creating rope-like ladders to secret ancient gardens on top. Palms have managed to set
root amongst the epic stones and soar to the light…forest obelisks. It is amazing.
The Shed is a quintessential Australian building. From the outside, it is subtle and unfussy, but
inside, this utilitarian space has been transformed into a gallery for quirky and artistic design
features and eclectic decor. Fun; dynamic; yet still spacious and uncluttered, The Shed has
soaring ceilings, white walls and floors, punctuated by an incredible collection of vintage and
idiosyncratic objects.
The property also features, an outdoor toilet and bathroom (bath) overlooking the lush forest.
There is also a charming separate ‘sleepout’, an outdoor bar, a spa, a registered mobile
commercial kitchen, an outdoor film projection screen (and projector), and a gorgeous creek,
bubbling over rocks and down stone slopes.
There are a couple of pigs living on the property. One a magnificent, 300kg beauty, and the
other, a piglet who is completely house-trained and sleeps on the couch at night. Both are very
friendly, domestic pets.
Dum Dum, is 5 mins from Uki (NSW), a charming and bohemian village with several cafes, a
general store and a pub. The property is also about 8 mins from the bustling country town of
Murwillumbah, with its iconic art deco buildings and undulating streets overlooking Wollumbin
and woven around the Tweed River.
The owner of the property, Cassie Potts, is a stylist and professional cook. Cassie also owns,
popular Brisbane bar, Fitz + Potts
