The space is a classic "raised cottage." At one time, this style of home was found all over the island. Today, these unaltered cottages are few and far between - caught between the charm of the past and the needs of modern life. The cottage was purchased in 2020 from the family who built it in 1930 and over the course of an entire year, was fully and meticulously restored, updated and modernized without sacrificing it's soul and historic appeal.
Inside and out, you'll find many references to the lives lived and the stories and some belongings from the those lucky enough to have called this cottage a home over the past 90 years. When there was a choice to buy new or restore, every effort was taken to maintain that precious fabric of memories, which is why you'll find we saved the snap of a spring and the squeak of a screen door as it opens and closes but you'll also find, all the convenience of brand new central air conditioning, high-speed internet, modern baths and appliances and much, much, more.
