The Pope House is in Winnona Park, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods, set at the end of a long, pea-gravel driveway flanked by magnolias. Built in 1986, this three-bedroom cape cod boasts tall windows and ceilings and interesting shadows. Its most arresting features involve the outdoor setting--the beautiful gardens and elegant, mature trees that host a habitat for barred owls. Very convenient--walking distance to Oakhurst, Avondale and Downtown Decatur with all the restaurants and amenities these areas offer. The neighborhood is bordered by the established green spaces of three campuses: Agnes Scott College, Columbia Theological Institute and the 77-acre Legacy Park, former Methodist Children's Home. Three bedrooms, two baths, hardwood floors and a fireplace and leaf-cast shadowy light filtering through windows. Even the air is beautiful.
