Century Home On Large Basinfront

This house was built in the 1890s. It has a large kitchen and a formal dining room. There are 5 bedrooms (one of which has a small nursery in it to make it a good family suite) and 5 1/2 bathrooms. The basement is poured concrete on one end and dirt and stone on the other. There are many windows in the home, and lots of visible original wood. We have a lovely wood fireplace in a large livingroom which is decorated in such a way with a bison rug, a model of the Blunose and antiques so that it reminds people of a lodge. Our sunroom has 3 walls of windows and a cowhide rug in keeping with the age of the house style. We have a games room off the kitchen with a dome hockey game and a vintage pinball machine. The house has a large screened-in back deck overlooking the Annapolis basin. We have updated the house with solar and heat pumps thatare visible in the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors but are forced air through the original vents. We have a huge yard which is almost 17 acres. It is landscaped with large, mature trees (and some younger fruit trees), many flowers, and open fields. We have many statues and whimsical items placed around the yard for people to discover as they explore. There's a private beach which extends around a rocky point. There are many little niches for solitude throughout the yard including a small clearing amongst the evergreens with a hanging tent for a child. There are English gardens and fruit trees. There is a cistern on the property (not in use) that looks like a placed roof. The inside is dimly lit, and would likely be really good for a horror movie. There is also a Quansett on the property where supplies could be locked up . It currently houses a tractor, tandem kayak and other items. We are close to Annapolis Royal with a wharf and where they have Fort Saint Anne- a historical heritage site. People do tours there wearing period costumes. There is also a golf course , a nursery and hiking trails nearby.
