Grade II* listed building, built in the late 16th century. According to local tradition, it was built as a hunting lodge for James I, though others say it was built by the Foresters for the same purpose. Apparently, Henry II also made it his home on his hunting expeditions to the Wrekin Forest.
After undergoing a four-year renovation programme under English Heritage this Tudor Manor House has been beautifully restored.
