The basement was formerly a doctor's clinic. We don't know how long ago. The interior of the basement has been stripped of some walls and floors are basically pallets. Very dark and creepy.
One room might have been used as an examining room and has a small sink and counter. Another room still looks like a reception area with a large slate (?) desk and bookcase.
Plumbing in any former kitchen or bathroom has been stripped.
It is a separate zoned "suite" from the main upstairs house by the municipality and Manitoba Hydro. Electricity is there as well as boiler, water heater, etc. for the rest of the house.
The two-storey heritage-style house is charming with hardwood floors and radiators.
The 70s addition is a dining room and great room aka 'mid century modern' style, sort-of.
