Open Sky

Open Sky is a 120 year old property sitting on about 8 acres of wild rolling field and woods. This was originally a tobacco farm in the early 1900's. This is a federal style home with Victorian accents. There is a fireplace in most of the rooms, though only 2 are working. The grand entrace hallways features exquisite antique chandelier lighting. Original hardwood flooring throughout much of the house. The old barn is usable but not in the best condition. On the first floor is the Reading Room featuring built-in bookshelves and an Italian chandelier, the Living Room, an office, a formal dining room, kitchen with exposed tobacco beams and 2 chandeliers, and a mud room. The first floor bath features a stained glass window and a claw foot tub. The second floor also has a grand open hallway with a picture window looking out the front of the house. There is a main bedroom, 2 guest rooms, and a full bath with walk-in-closet. The fields have been re-wilded and have mowed walking trails. The front porch has wicker seating and is a favorite spot to hang out.
