Cozy Chalet On The Lake

This beautiful cottage/chalet/house is located on a private 1,5 km (1mile) end of the road with a 1.5 ac lake front property. The main entrance is through the log/beam style mud room. Upstairs is a full kitchen with dishwasher/stove/fridge/freezer. The dining area connects the kitchen and adjoining living room, which can be enjoyed with the woodstove, especially in the colder month. From the Dining area and a master bed room you’re able to access the balcony which stretches about the whole length of the house and overlooks the backyard inclusive a stunning view of the lake with beautiful sunrises. Guest bedroom/ kids bedroom and full bathroom is facing North towards the hills behind the house. The whole house is electrically heated with baseboard heaters. Upstairs heating/cooling can be achieved more efficient with a heat pump which also acts as a AC unit. There is a ground level walk out separate apartment. As downstairs is partially in the ground submerged, it stays cool enough even in the summer. It's connected inside through a flight of stairs. It includes storage beneath the stairs, a guest/office room and full bedroom, living area with sofa bed, dining area, kitchenette with fridge/freezer, full bath room and utility room including washer and dryer. Outside are lots of things, like a chicken coop, fenced in garden, a dock for easier lake access, a sauna (functional but not fully finished yet) a rock garden with lots of flowers blooming at different times, a tree house and a shed. Behind/above the rock garden there’s a bench with a nice view to take a break. About the shed, there’s a small kubota tractor with back hoe and bucket (snowblower in the winter), a tobogan, a couple of chain saws and a bunch of hand tools. There are a couple of wood stackes throughout the yard, to be used not only for the wood stove, but also for the fire place in front of the lake and the sauna. On the property are two SUP’s and one kayak including paddles and live vests. The lake is about 1,5 km (1mile) long, across it's about 600m (bit under 1/2 a mile) big enough for kayaking Behind the house are some trails leading up the hill. Normally there’s never anybody intervening with the privacy except when invited. A beautiful fall with all colours including red maple trees usually happened right around end of September. Winter is especially peaceful, as well with snow shoeing starting right at the house and a frozen lake.
