Comfortable Tropical Family Home

Our house is modeled off a traditional chattel house but designed with much higher ceilings for a brighter, larger space. Renovated in 2020, we have an open, bright, mostly white kitchen with hanging rattan light shades throughout the home. The kitchen and living room are the main thoroughfare of the house, with sage green double Dutch doors leading out to a large natural wooden deck in our lush tropical garden. Tropical foliage can be seen out every window in the house. There is a small children’s room/nursery with neutral and pastel decor, and plenty of Montessori esthetic children’s toys are featured throughout the home, mainly in the living room and children’s room. There is a large king bed in the primary bedroom with a modern en suite bathroom. A smaller bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower is in the hallway. We have a spare room which doubles as an office. The floors are wood tiles, grey tile, or hardwood depending on the area of the house. The home has a lovely minimal wood & white foyer with built in benches and baskets. The front door is bright orange. Plenty of outdoor living space with modern furniture. Comfortable, but not luxury. It is a well lived in home.
