1930s Alabama Farm House On 4+ Acres, Red Dirt Road, Original Hardwood Floors, Old Smokehouse

Located on a red clay (or red dirt) road, this farmhouse was originally hand-built in 1930 by a poor farming family on homesteaded land in rural South Alabama, just a few miles from the Alabama-Florida state line. Half of the 4+ acre property is wooded and a third is maintained lawn with old white oak trees, pine trees, azaleas, and camelias. There is an original wooden smokehouse barely standing close the house (shown in the pictures). Screened in porches are located on the front and the back of the home with a fireplace on the back porch and a wood burning stove inside the house. The 1,000 sq ft house has the original hardwood floors. The kitchen and bath were added in the 1960s and have had some remodeling done over the years. The location is not in an incorporated area and is under Baldwin County's lenient code. The house can be partially or fully demolished with explosives for a fee. There is a very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful volunteer fire department that services the area and would be willing to assist.
