We invite your production into the historic home of Canadian artist Owen Staples. His magnificent home - and the rich Canadian artistic history it has enveloped - stands in North Riverdale.
The design of his home was influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement and was contributed to by C.W. Jeffery’s, another prominent Canadian artist. The two Canadian artists collaborated together to design the home. In 1904 Jeffery’s father brought their vision to life and built Staples home on Hogarth Ave, using rejected Don Valley brick stock. As a known gathering place for other renowned Canadians, such as A.J. Casson from the highly celebrated Group of Seven, the home holds an opulent history. Owen's artwork can be found in most prominent Canadian art collections, including the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
The Great Room, with the many paintings, is 14 feet high.
