Bright Open Studio – A Character-Rich Production Space in SoMa This Studio offers 1,700 sq ft of character-filled creative space perfect for photo and video productions. The 1927 building’s original factory details—exposed beams, tall ceilings, and large industrial windows—provide natural light and texture that translate beautifully on camera. Designed by artists, the studio offers both blank-canvas flexibility and visually rich vignettes. Vintage furniture, plants, colorful lighting, and rotating art pieces give creators a range of backdrops to work with. The design blends minimalism with warmth — colorful art, plants, and soft lighting create an inviting and grounded atmosphere. All the furniture are vintage pieces of various eras lovingly curated by the team. Interior paint and staging were done with support from interior designer Matthew and local artist Julianne. The entrance features a mural by local muralist Pablo and the bathroom is an installation by local artist Cole. Wall art is a rotating curation of local artists. This Studio is operated by a nonprofit Art Community dedicated to building community through art of all mediums. Your rental directly supports our free and low-cost programs — including a weekly open mic, a songwriters circle, visual art exhibitions, dance workshops, and creative coworking for local artists.This space is like home to us and we encourage you to make yourself at home as well.
