This Victorian House was built in the 1870's as a stately Victorian home by Alexander Meiklejohn who became the first mayor of Harriston. It has many unique features including a wall which recesses into the ceiling to make the parlour into one large room. There are eight fireplaces in the house, four of which are made of Italian marble.
A former greenhouse or Conservatory is now a warm and cozy place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or to have your breakfast. A second floor sunroom also lends itself to relaxation. Several outdoor verandahs invite you to sit with a good book or spend time with friends. The 8 person spa/hot tub will help you settle in for a good nights sleep in one of the four bedrooms decorated for your comfort.
