Harlem Art Residence is a design-forward production location in Central Harlem offering several dramatically different visual environments within one apartment.
The approximately 1,076 sq. ft. three-bedroom, two-bath residence combines contemporary design, collectible furniture, original and curated artwork, rich color, architectural detailing, and strong natural light.
The main living space is bright and sculptural, with white paneled walls, oversized windows, a cream bouclé sectional, statement lighting, a graphic rug, and a large open kitchen anchored by a waterfall stone island. It works particularly well for lifestyle, fashion, beauty, product, food, interview, and branded-content shoots.
Beyond the main space, the apartment offers several completely different looks without requiring a company move:
an atmospheric ink-blue library and office with vintage-inspired furniture, books, vinyl records, warm wood, leather seating, and dramatic lighting;
a deep green den with layered textiles, art, and an intimate residential feel;
a richly styled primary bedroom with dark ceiling, patterned wallpaper, velvet textiles, curated artwork, and a cinematic boutique-hotel atmosphere;
additional bedrooms and bathrooms that may be available depending on the production.
The residence sits within a restored historic Harlem building with a highly distinctive late-19th-century façade, ornamental entrance, brick architecture, fire escapes, and unmistakable New York character. Exterior or common-area filming is subject to separate approval.
The owners are art collectors and have additional works available. For suitable productions, selected artwork can potentially be rotated or installed to complement a creative brief, subject to advance approval and any required usage clearance.
The location is particularly suited to:
• editorial and fashion photography
• commercials and branded content
• film and television
• interviews and documentary shoots
• lifestyle and interiors photography
• product and beauty campaigns
• music and cultural content
• social and digital productions
The goal is to work with professional productions rather than events or parties. Furniture movement, artwork changes, larger crews, significant equipment setups, and special production requirements can be discussed in advance.
The owner-hosts speak both English and Polish and are especially happy to work with international and European productions. For visiting Polish crews, we can also help with practical local orientation and coordination in New York.
One location, multiple cinematic worlds — with a distinctly New York point of view.
