Country Compound In The City

Set across 25 acres of private countryside and forest, our 18,000-square-foot family compound was designed to offer the space and freedom of country living while remaining within easy reach of the city. The home has a modern country-estate feel — expansive but understated, with a long, low-profile design, clean architectural lines, a neutral palette and black accents. Rather than feeling like one enormous house, the compound was purpose-built for multi-generational family living, with two distinct residences connected by a beautiful central atrium. It gives everyone their own private space while still creating a natural heart to the property where family can come together. Inside, the scale continues with high ceilings, generous rooms, multiple kitchens, fireplaces and large entertaining spaces, while the single-storey layout keeps the home feeling relaxed and welcoming rather than formal. Outside is where the property really becomes special. With 25 acres of land and mature forest to explore, there is an incredible sense of privacy and freedom — space for long walks through the woods, kids to explore and play, and family and friends to spend time outdoors without ever leaving home. It’s a rare combination: 18,000 (10000 finished and 8000 of unfinished basement) square feet of modern country living, surrounded by nature, designed around family — all without giving up proximity to the city. More than a home, it feels like our own private retreat.
