Patriots Rest is a privately owned, four-season waterfront home directly on East Caroga Lake in the Adirondack Park. Fully renovated in 2021, the property offers a flat waterfront lawn, private dock in a quiet cove, expansive lake views, an open first-floor layout, large lake-facing windows and sliding glass doors, screened porch, second-floor balcony, fire pit and multiple indoor/outdoor filming areas.
A finished third floor, normally reserved for owner use, can be made available exclusively to productions. The large open room has hardwood floors, a full private bathroom, two queen beds, sofa/TV area and flexible space for additional filming, hair/makeup, wardrobe, talent holding, production office, equipment storage or other support needs. It can also remain separate from primary filming areas when productions prefer to keep support activity contained.
The property has ramp access between the driveway, main level, yard and waterfront, a pull-through driveway with approximately five-vehicle capacity, and 200-amp electrical service. A canoe and kayak may be available for filming or background use. One of the owners is a USCG-licensed captain, and a 23-foot deck boat and 19-foot speedboat may be available with captain by separate arrangement for professional on-water filming. The property also provides access to two interconnected lakes.
A second owner-controlled property, StoneHaven Cottage, is located less than five minutes away and provides a completely different rustic/wooded Adirondack look. StoneHaven includes additional wooded acreage, parking for approximately 10 vehicles, a 60–80 foot turning radius, and an existing semi-cleared trailer-access parking. Depending on production needs, the property may support production vehicles, trailers, equipment staging, crew holding or basecamp operations, with owners open to approved selective clearing or widening if additional access is needed.
Owners are production-friendly and open to discussing approved set dressing, furniture relocation, painting, temporary scenic work, fixture changes, temporary construction and other art-department modifications. Mutually desirable improvements may also be considered for permanent retention rather than restoration.
The surrounding Caroga Lake area provides an unusual concentration of additional production looks within minutes, including a historic working carousel and Ferris wheel, ski mountain, motocross, mountain-bike trails, rodeo, marina, golf course and amphitheater, along with multiple lakes, mountains, forests and trails. Patriots Rest offers distinct summer, fall-foliage and winter/snow looks and is approximately one hour from Saratoga Springs and Capital Region production facilities.
